Conquering the Stack

When you reach level 5 and beyond in Cards Match, the board becomes incredibly dense. Here are a few tricks to help you clear it:

1. Peek at the Edges: Because tiles are stacked on half-steps, you can often see the bottom corner of a tile buried underneath. Use these clues to figure out if digging into a stack is worth it.
2. Keep Your Tray Clean: Never let your tray exceed 4 un-matched tiles if you can help it. Once you hit 5 slots used, your options for clearing the board drop drastically.
3. Target the Tallest Pillars: It's tempting to pick off the easy outliers on the edges of the board, but the tallest center stacks hide the most tiles. Work on dismantling the biggest towers first!
4. Check the Shadows: The 3D physical block styling makes it easy to read depth. Tiles with the thickest drop shadows are sitting at the very top of the pile.

Remember, there is no timer in Cards Match. You have all the time in the world to survey the board before making your next move.
