Painting with Purpose

Have you ever noticed that the most stressful games use stark reds, blacks, and high-contrast neons, while casual games prefer pastels and earthy tones? This is entirely intentional.

In Cards Match, the soft beige (`--bg-card-inner`) and warm wood colors (`--wood-dark`) are chosen to lower blood pressure and signal that this is a safe, relaxed space. Pops of accent colors (cyan, green, yellow) are reserved for positive reinforcement—like completing a match or leveling up. The color palette literally guides your emotional response to the game.
